Vayvio lets you choose the display currency used to show prices across the Marketplace, Courses, and Pricing pages.
Display currency vs. payment currency
- Your display currency is a viewing preference — prices are converted to it for convenience using cached exchange rates.
- Payments and payouts stay in Philippine pesos (PHP). Vayvio bills subscriptions, boosts, and course purchases in PHP, and pays course sellers in PHP.
Changing your display currency
- Signed in: Settings → Notifications → Display Currency (the setting also appears on the Pricing and Courses pages).
- Signed out: the currency selector on the Pricing and Courses pages saves your choice in a browser cookie — no account needed. If you later sign in without a saved preference, your cookie choice is saved to your account automatically; an existing saved preference is never overwritten.
What the ≈ means
When a price shows ≈ (approximately), it was converted from PHP using exchange rates refreshed roughly twice a day. The final amount charged by your bank or payment provider may differ due to their exchange rates and fees. At checkout, Vayvio always shows the exact PHP amount you will be charged.
Course sellers
Seller earnings, payout minimums, and payout requests are all denominated in PHP — that is the currency you will actually receive. Converted values on your earnings page are reference only.
note
If exchange rates are temporarily unavailable, converted prices simply fall back to PHP. Nothing breaks, and no price changes silently.
