Why Verification May Need to Be Retried

Expired documents, unreadable IDs, selfie mismatches, and liveness failures are the common retry causes.

Verification can fail for reasons that are easy to fix. The provider declines a check when something cannot be confirmed:

  • Expired document — the ID's expiry date has passed
  • Unreadable ID — glare, blur, cropping, or an unsupported document type
  • Selfie/liveness mismatch — poor lighting, face partially covered, or the selfie doesn't match the ID photo
  • Wrong document type — only passports, national ID cards, and driver's licenses are accepted

Retrying

You can retry up to 3 attempts; if attempts run out, contact support and we'll help. Before retrying: use a valid ID, good lighting, and follow the on-screen framing guides exactly.
